Volunteer at the Great American Outdoor Show

If you share a passion for the outdoors and a desire to help out and give back to ensure our traditions are enjoyed for many generations to come, then we want to talk with you. Several volunteer opportunities exist to go behind the scenes of the world’s largest outdoor show and play a vital role in helping to bring it all together. FACILITY & LOGISTICS: This is the behind the scenes set up and encompasses a myriad of various assignments in preparation for the show opening. Once open, opportunities include restocking show programs and bags, distribution of signs throughout the venue, and other various assignments as necessary. Should be able to lift 30+ pounds and able to work on your feet a good portion of the shift.
FIREARMS EXAMINERS: Firearms examiners inspect all firearms on display in the exhibit hall before the show opens to ensure they have been rendered incapable of firing. Requires a vast working knowledge of firearms. This assignment runs Friday afternoon through the evening and Saturday morning before opening day. Additionally, opportunities will be available throughout the show.
GUEST SERVICES: Assist show staff with information booths, show programs, show hall maps, literature bins, and guest surveys. Customer service skills and a friendly demeanor are a must and a working knowledge of the PA Farm Show Complex layout is a plus but not necessary.
EDDIE EAGLE FUN ZONE: Volunteers neededto assist with crowd control, information table, restocking and organizing fun zone area. Experience working with children/families desired.
OTHER: I don't have a specific preference but want to help.

Great American Outdoor Show

The Great American Outdoor Show is a nine-day event celebrating hunting, fishing and outdoor traditions that are treasured by millions of Americans and their families. The show features over 1,100 exhibitors ranging from shooting manufacturers to outfitters to fishing boats and RV’s, and archery to art covering 650,000 square feet of exhibit hall space! Not to mention a jam packed schedule including country concerts, fundraising dinners, speaking events, archery competitions, celebrity appearances, seminars, demonstrations and much more!
